What you say and what you fear never happens, among practitioners.
Those studying "Buddhism" (there is no such THING!) academically, or via other
informal or unorthodox reading, may not be practicing. If they are not
practicing, reading is of little transformative value. Reading is good for
finding the traces, at the outset, and for testing one's realization, after
effective practice.
I continue to emphasize that there is no Buddhism, and that Buddhadharma only
presents itself in practice situations.
Bodhisattva-Bill!... maybe you can stop worrying!
