From: Demian Meyer Say someone gave me a snake, a Boa or the like. If I feed the snake mice, then I am putting the snake before the mice. If I do not feed the snake the mice, it will die. >>

I caught a gray racer snake in my yard. I put it into an aquarium and spent a few dollars on taking care of it. I bought the baby mice and fed it. It kept biting my hand (that fed it). So after a couple of weeks it slipped my mind to feed the snake and when I next saw the snake tank my wife had put it on the side of the road where the garbage pick-up is, along with the dessicated snake and his little snake props. I guess in its next life the snake's soul will learn not to bite the hand that feeds it.

A few weeks later I caught a large iguana and it bit me a couple of times and drew blood. I wanted to do the right thing, so I took it to the Everglades and let it go and to take some photos for a comic-style photo-story. The iguana instead of running into the woods, ran into the water and started swimming around. A small alligator immediately spotted it and went chasing the iguana. Thanks to my family helping with finding big rocks, I was able to throw enough rocks at the gator that it did not eat the iguana. The iguana continued swimming around a while with the alligator close by but eventually the iguana finally came ashore. Maybe it got eaten five minutes after we left?
