It all depends on how you define 'good' and 'bad'. A person can be killed with kindness. If you help a baby chick out of the egg it will die because it needs the struggle of exiting the egg to get it's little lungs working. You can help the chick best by leaving it alone. When blind people were 'taken care of' their lives were limited by social and personal low levels of expectation. It is unlikely that one of these individuals would have had the initiative to climb Mt. Everest. I never implied 'good' or 'bad'.
