Milarepa who, if I remember correctly, also was much taken at another point
with the wondrous visions and sensations he experienced as a result of
practice. He saw everything as a manifestation of the presence of his
teacher Marpa. Marpa dutifully appeared at one point riding on a cloud or
somesuch and much to Milarepa's surprise, said to him something along the
lines of, "Why are you messing about with this nonsense? You know how to
meditate, go sit."
