I Met No Vegetarian Zen Monks In Japan. We Were Served
Curry Chicken At Each Monastery We Stayed At On Our
Begging Rounds. Perhaps It Is You Have Twisted The
Precepts Due To A Personal Issue. I Also Think You Do
Not Really Understand The Nature Of The Begging
Bowl.... One Offers The Bowl And Accepts Whatever Is
Offered.... Be It Money, Rice, Sake, Or A Meat Filled
Dumpling. Even Ritual Beggers Do Not Get To Be
Choosers. All Ideas Must Be Put Aside And Every
Offering Is Accepted And Used, Hopefully With The
Grace Of The Buddha.
