There are lots of bums in big cities. Downtown is full of them. I find the legal system creates a no-win situation for the bums. A) ACLU fights for the bums to have the right to be bums; so B) the Politicians use that as a way to ignore the issue; C) very little government funds are allocated to help the bums, since these programs are fought in the courts by the ACLU. What is hard to ignore is that people (bums) who are walking around eating from garbage bins and reeking of urine and feces cannot be healthy. They are a walking infestation. Aside from the issue of whether or not they infect other people, they are certainly not living a healthy lifestyle. Personally, I think that bums should be forced to live in work camps where they are cleaned, treated for medical problems, diagnosed for mental illness, and given their medications. Those that can live on their own should be able to leave into some kind of assisted living facility and given some job that they can handle. That is my theory. I think that everyone has a right to enjoy their lives, including the average people that work and pay taxes and have families. We should not have to be accosted by filthy disease-infested bums at every corner. Especially annoying is when you are at a restaurant and a bum walks in to accost each and every diner for spare change. These reeking stenchbags should not be allowed into restaurants, but thanks to the legal system, their rights to ruin the dinners of dozens of other people are protected. Anyhow, I am tired of the damned bums, and seeing them all over town. Where is the compassion for the people who are working and trying to raise their families? The politicians don't care, because in their rich neighborhoods the bums are not allowed so they never deal with them. ------------------------ Yahoo!
