My Dad was a POW in WWII. He survived 18 months in Poland...was in a work party and was marched across Europe. He said the guys that survived were the ones who ate the worms in the cabbage soup...the protein ya know. He said that they tasted like cabbage anyway.
Also many cultures do eat bugs on a regular basis...
