I have the fortune of having a profession that allows me to travel all over the world. I'm from the US and have during the course of my life have lived in the US Midwest, West Coast and South. In the past 15 years I've also lived for extended periods of time in England, Brazil, Argentina, South Africa, Thailand, Australia and India. I came to Thailand on a 7-months contract about 4 years ago working for a large bank in Bangkok. I liked Thailand and decided to give living here a try. When the contract was completed I relocated to Koh Samui, an island in the Gulf of Thailand just off the extreme southeast coast. I lived there about 1 year and met and married the woman who is now my wife. She has family in the mountains of central Thailand near Petchabun. Shortly after we were married first her mother and then her father became ill and started requiring more and more of my wife's help. We finally decided to move near them and did that a little over a year ago. We've built a small house here for my wife's parents and are now sharing that with them. We are however about 1-week away from completing a larger house next door just for us. I am semi-retired. I like to work 4 to 6 months a year. I have 6 'children' in the US with 9 grandchildren, and one more on the way. My ex-wife lives in the US and was remarried 10 years ago. My wife here in Thailand has one 20-year old son, both parents and 2 older brothers. I'll be 60 in 1 week. My professional website is www.BSC.BillSmart.com and my personal website is www.BillSmart.com. How about the other regular contributors to the forum. Were do you all live? What do you do? I know there are profiles and lists available on Yahoo! and the Zen Forum itself that are available to publish content like this, but I've checked on a lot of you and most do not use them. Merry Christmas! I get to say that first to most of you since I'm about 12-hours ahead of the US... (And yes, since I'm almost 60, I can say 'Merry Christmas' if I want to.)
