Sawa di-Ka, Bill, I too have lived in Thailand, and also Ko Samui, and visited places you mentioned...and also lived in India, Pakistan, Nepal, Kashmir, Fiji, New Zealand, South Korea, short spells in Ethiopia and Israel...long before those, I strayed through the Caribbean and spent some time in Europe, primarily France and England...I may have forgotten a few other places...but that's not important..
I became attracted to studying more about Buddhism after doing some comparitive research on the origins and connectiveness of all religions... I think Buddhism offers much of what Christianity failed to pass down...which is why I spend time "lurking" here; reading and learning...
