That's the problem. Somehow you have a config that points you to
zenxevent, but you don't have it installed.
Is this from an upgrade of the appliance? If so, install.sh should have
updated $ZENHOME/bin, which has the updated script to run zenxevent.

I cannot get a connection to port 8081 (port 8080 works fine at all).
zenoss -status on the zenoss server says the following programs are running:
zeoctl, zopectl, zenmodeler, zenperfsnmp, zenprocess, zenping, zensyslog,
zenstatus, zenactions.
Since I'm using the virtual appliance: shouldn't the zenxevent server start by
default? By the way - I can't find zenxevent nowhere in /usr/local/zenoss. May
that lead to a solution?
