Most likely, MySQL has nothing to do with this issue.
I am not able to connect at all , it doesnt even give me the
userlogin pop-up. Get page cannot be displayed error.

If you are not able to connect, I think there are only two
possibilities:
1) the Zenoss software is not running ("zeoctl start" and "zopectl
start"), or
2) something is preventing TCP connections (possibly a software
firewall on your box)
