Is it possible to do a yum install of the 2.9 version? (It appears that you have a yum-based distribution)
If you have to run configure and make to create things from source, then you might be much better off just using the VMWare image. In general, moving from test to production is much, much nicer with a VMWare than producing your own RPM from a source distribution. kells Zion wrote: > Trying to install zope which appears missing. > > I'm trying to do that and on make command, I get this error > > error: command 'gcc' failed with exit status 1 > > yum install g++ > Loading "installonlyn" plugin > Setting up Install Process > Setting up repositories > Reading repository metadata in from local files > Parsing package install arguments > Nothing to do > > yum install libc6-dev > Loading "installonlyn" plugin > Setting up Install Process > Setting up repositories > Reading repository metadata in from local files > Parsing package install arguments > Nothing to do > > > I already downloaded Zope-2.9.8-final.tgz > > I preferred an rpm solution, but on zope's site the rpm downloads were far > outdated -------------------- m2f -------------------- Read this topic online here: http://community.zenoss.com/forums/viewtopic.php?p=10642#10642 -------------------- m2f -------------------- _______________________________________________ zenoss-users mailing list [email protected] http://lists.zenoss.org/mailman/listinfo/zenoss-users
