If this is just a test box I would uninstall everything and reinstall. You will
lose everything so be warned.

rpm -e zenoss
rpm -e perl-DBD-MySQL
rpm -e mysql
rpm -e mysql-server

rm -rf /opt/zenoss
rm -rf /home/zenoss
rm -rf /var/lib/mysql

And reinstall based on the link you mentioned.

I uninstalled Zenoss 2.0.6 and installed the Beta 2.1 with no problem with
Centos 5.

Make sure you have mysqld startup on boot or various zenoss services won't
start.

chkconfig --level 35 mysqld on

Or whatever level you want it to startup on.

Hope that helps
