I am currently experiencing this same issue. I am able to connect using the
webemtest utility to all servers that are experiencing this issue. The username
and password are correct and the permissions for this user are correct. The
windows machine's are a mix of Windows Server 2003 and Windows 2000 Server. All
of the machines being monitored by Zenoss are on a different subnet. I have
searched for RPC_S_CALL_FAILED in the forums and have read the advice of all
the posts commenting on WMI. I am unable to find a resolution for this. This
error has shown itself in 2.0.91, 2.0.92 and still appears in 2.0.93. I did not
have this issue in 2.0.6. Until a resolution is found I have lowered the
alerting level for this alert from the Default Error level to Warning. It
appears as if the machine is being modeled and that all errors are being
reported properly.
