The problem is that if those sites you add as different devices resolve to the same address as your webserver (namely if you are using lots of virtual hosts, as is common), then Zenoss will send you alerts that you have conflicting IPs for the different devices. There is no way to resolve this right now aside from adding the sites as datasources off the webserver as I described.
