Now I do not work for zenoss, but I have to ask this how is Nagios
better the Zenoss???
The only thing Nagios does better then Zenoss is service/host dependency
handling.
As far as monitoring/trending/event mapping/syslog..
Zenoss is by far the Winner as well as the best Open Source monitoring
tool out there.
CCI has used Nagios for years, and once I migrated to Zenoss, we found
so many issues with our environment and not to mention the central
syslogging/alerts have helped tremendously.
The developers, sysadmins, DBA's and CTO blessed the day I brought in
Zenoss. Yes I have spent a lot of time learning Zenoss as well as
programming in Python, but it was all well worth it.

I'm seeing the exact same thing here.
Good luck getting a reply on here that's helpful. I'm about ready to scrap
zenoss to go back to netsaint/nagios. I really can't present this software to
our CIO as is, and any posts about the networking/subnetting seem to go
unanswered on this forum.
