I have different flavors of AIX/Linux/Solaris systems. The modeling time is pretty much a separate issue. However, I have noticed that when trying to model with the cache is corrupted, the model will bomb out. zenperfsnmp stops collecting overnight like clock work. Even the remote pollers stop but since they have less devices/oids, they are able to recover. I even see the logfile stop updating on the remote pollers for minutes at a time (I'm doing 1 min polling). They all come back at the same time. This is related to the backups so as soon as I get a chance I will be taking a look. I have not come across where the system needs to be rebooted like tobes. That just seems like something different. Though the failure in the end might be the same.
