@Russ - thanks for the reply. So that is kinda surprising to me that Zenoss recognizes the interface collects information from it but dose not care if it goes down unless you remodel. Makes me wonder what the Monitor setting is for under each interface. Kinda gives you a false since of security!!!
Luckly zenoss handles the traps fine or this would put zenoss 6 feet under in my company. And there is no way i am going to go through the process of setting up data points and thresholds for each interface on every switch.
