I've responded to your other thread but here you go: Zenoss Enterprise, as I understand it, is Zenoss Core + Commercial Zenpacks to expand it. However, with Enterprise you do get tech support for customizing Zenoss to do what YOU want, so getting it may well help you get going quicker. You'll get better (though limited, see what you do get with your potential sub first - contact sales etc) dev access. You also support Zenoss the company and support the whole community. Zenoss does also offer Enterprise customers for an additional fee custom development work.
All that said, if you've got time, you can probably do what you want with Core. Enterprise costs money, but probably saves time. Core is the opposite.
