To me the schedule is more associated with a specific alerting rule rather that a specific alert recipient. As an example consider the situation where you monitor a process and this process is restarted each morning at 7:00 AM and it will be down for 30 minutes. ,you would create a schedule on the alerting rule created to alert if the process goes down with the alerting rule in effect all day except 7:00 - 07:30
