I am, but let's discuss the process at some other occasion. My point now is that the discussion around 3.0 proved that no substantial fixes to 0MQ design (say removing identities) can be done even if major version is bumped. Thus, the whole move to 3.0 would introduce only cosmetic changes to the API. Which is really not worth all the upgrade trouble. Thus, my proposal is to revert last ~20 patches from the master and thus effectively get back to something that could be named 0MQ/2.3.0. When that's done everyone is free to discuss whether the major version bump should be done at all, when and what changes it should contain.
