Two potential areas come immediately to mind - case sensitivity (HFS+ was traditionally not), and resource forks (UFS dispensed with them). I never ran an OS X system on UFS myself, but it's not surprising that some parts of the system/applications chafed at a case sensitive, data fork fs, although Apple does support it. --Toby > But we're working hard on > fixing these as they come up.
