Exactly. And if we look at other projects, we always recognize some well known key persons, who have leader roles. For instance, SQLAlchemy has Michael Bayer, Linux has Linus, Python has Guido and so on. That does not mean that these key person(s) dictate the way the development goes, but consideres/embraces ideas and leads in one direction, where everyone follows. My impression (from an external perspective) is that Zope Corporation did just that for Zope 2/3, but nowadays tries to give this role to the community. That's bad as this leaves an empty void, which is currently somehow filled out by some key persons, which are extremely capable, but don't have a leader role.
