I can find it on realOEM as part #11361401973 but it only seems to apply to the S50 motor. If the US cars have it can it just be removed and cleaned and then replaced? I've read where, if clogged, it can contribute to early Vanos failure. I recently had my US S50 motor completely torn down and there is no such thing that I remember seeing. It does show up in the ETK on the Euro motor as the p/n you list, but not on the US motor. When the back end of the carrier is out of the retaining bushing, the carrier can then slide back and around the side of the transmission. Failing that for some reason (such as collapsed foam insulation blocking it), he can lower the transmission slightly by loosening the transmission support brace retaining bolts... not remove them, just loosen them so the brace drops down which will give him more room at the top. - Rob From: kjk <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Subject: [UUC] E39 Shortshifter Installation Issue ----- Original Message Follows ----- > My friend can't get the carrier to come out.
