Hi Cody,

Adding static properties and constants would require significant changes to
the CFML parser, which we wouldn't want to do this late in the BD 7.0
development cycle (same with adding a "new" operator to replace
CreateObject). The only reason we're considering adding static CFC methods
is that we think we can add it simply and safely without the risk of
breaking other code.

Maybe in BD 8.0.
