Yes my figures are very similar to yours. But even after a reboot I
still cannot burn a back up disk.

Ignore "qmail" unless you happen to be using qmail, which is unlikely.
The rest should look like this.
In particular, note the permissions on /var/tmp. That's "chmod 1777"
to get the sticky bit.
