From what I saw, ORF is loaded into memory the first time that it is called, and while AD lookups may be efficient, it would be more efficient and easier to implement a system where you had the plug-in read this information from a text file into memory. The only trick would be determining how to refresh the data, which I'm sure is easy enough to do (like check the text files for last modified dates and only reload when changed).
