Hello!

I read that dvbcut may be included at least in SUSE. To support this step it
would be
great when dvbcut is available in different languages.

But that can't be done in some minutes: At first dvbcut has to be
internationalized
(i18n) and then it can be localized (l10n).

For the first step it is neccessary to add a _() around every string that
should be
translateable. There have to be some little changes in main.cpp, too. When the
strings
are marked, a tool (gettext) extracts all the strings, that should be
translated in a
separate file. (This step can be done in an hour or two.)

The second step is l10n. People can translate the strings from the separate
file into
their language and hand their files in. (This step takes some time.)
A marvellous thing for this step is the Translation Project [1]. With its great
amount
of translators it is able to translate a project into several languages.
Moreover,
they handle the translations on their server and check the files for errors
with a
very good system. So using the TP would be a good thing. (Furthermore you don't
have
to search translators on your own! :-))

Please tell me, whether you like dvbcut to be translatable. I can have a try at
step
one and I can do the German translation but you should tell me, whether you
like it or
not. I can start with it, but I wont do that, when nobody is interested. Please
tell me!
