Hi gang I appreciate that Sven is happy with dvbcut on the channels that he watches.
But ... Anyone else have difficulty with Channel4 in the UK? Or anyone experience the following problem on some other channel in your area? Notice the rather large numbers in the following: -------------- Exporting 11616 pictures: 00:00:00.000/00 .. 00:07:44.640/00 Recoding 2 pictures Audio channel 1: starts 7051721.500 milliseconds after video Audio channel 1: stops 6587081.500 milliseconds after video Audio channel 1: delayed 0.000 milliseconds Audio channel 2: starts 102481914002145280.000 milliseconds after video Audio channel 2: stops 0.000 milliseconds after video Audio channel 2: delayed 0.000 milliseconds Saved 11616 pictures (00:07:44.640) Chapterlist: 00:00:00.000 --------------------------------------------------------------------------- The saved file has no audio (according to mplayer). There is also quite a long delay between reaching 100% of the file and displaying the above summary. And I think that in earlier versions (before Michael's recent patches) dvbcut would start processing at 100% CPU and stay that way. This happens with every program I capture from Channel4. My set-top box is happy, so there must be something different but legitimate(?) about that channel's configuration. I added some printfs and discovered that the videostartpts starts with a large -ve number. On another file from a different channel videostartpts is >0. from Channel4: videostartpts=-631496886 audiostream=0 0 tpts -631496886, start 0, offset 3158063 audiostream=1 audiostream= 1 tpts -631496886, start 0, offset 0 audiostream=2 audiostream=3 audiostream=4 .. audiostream=29 audiostream=30 audiostream=31 !fixed: 0 offset -631500486 !fixed: 1 offset -631500486 .. !fixed: 30 offset -631500486 !fixed: 31 offset -631500486 Muxer problem: 00:06:30.083/80 > 00:06:30.047/72 (dts:00:06:30.085/72) s->getbuffree():236662 [mpeg2video @ 0x828a8b0]rc buffer underflow ----------------- from non-C4 videostartpts=551309026 audiostream=0 0 tpts 551309026, start 0, offset 551309396 audiostream=1 audiostream=2 .. audiostream=30 audiostream=31 !fixed: 0 offset 551305426 !fixed: 1 offset 551305426 .. !fixed: 30 offset 551305426 !fixed: 31 offset 551305426 [mpeg2video @ 0x828a8b0]rc buffer underflow ---------------------------------------------- At the moment I process CH4 file with mencoder, creating avi that avidemux2 can edit, and save as xvid. (If I create mpg with mencoder that dvbcut wont read it) :-( brian (chief troublemaker) ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Take Surveys. Earn Cash.
