I'm pretty sure that's due to the broken timestamps ARD sends at least
on some transports - I don't see these messages with DVB-T material, for
example.

Larger compared to what?

Players like mplayer or xine usually are not disturbed by timestamps
that are slightly off - because they handle them in a totally different
manner, compared to dvbcut.

There is, however, something wrong, either with the streams or with the
way dvbcut treats them. In order to find out what happens, I need a
sample of the original stream (30 seconds should be enough), preferably
from the transport stream. Can you upload it somewhere an mail me a link
to it?
