Hi!

I overlooked one extremely simple but important fact about the "strange"
stream Ralph sent to me: Its total data rate is slightly higher than
10.08 Mbps (which is the maximum the DVD muxer will accept). I guess
that explains why there is an SCR overflow (indicated by lots of "Muxer
problem" messages): The system clock advances slightly faster than the
decoding timestamps, and eventually runs ahead of them.

Of course this didn't happen when the AC-3 audio data was missing (that
is, without patch #6) - the data rate simply was lower without it.

A DVD including such a stream will not be 100% compliant. Fortunately,
many DVD players don't care as much about it as they used to in the Good
Old Days(tm). Software players don't care at all, as far as I can tell.

The question remains whether dvbcut must print such a long list of
messages - a single one should be sufficient. Preferably one that is
more informative than "Muxer problem"...
