I'm interested in why you turned _on_ the bias. When I look at the Yamaha it says this is a 'sensitive dynamic microphone', impedance 600 ohms. You do not use bias with a dynamic microphone. If an electret (condenser mic), yes, the bias is a must and generally used to power the internal preamp. So, is this, indeed, an electret or a dynamic microphone? 73 ...Edwin, KD5ZLB ____________________________________________________________ "Once you have flown, you will walk the earth with your eyes turned skyward, for there you have been, there you long to return."-da Vinci http://bellsouthpwp2.net/e/d/edwinljohnson ______________________________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/elecraft Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:Elecraft@mailman.qth.net This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html
