I've posted the log here:

and cc'ed the maintainer, in case he has seen this issue before.

I tried this on my G4 and found no differences in the build output  
until the test section--on my machine the tests all succeeded, rather  
than failing.  As a reminder for the list, the failure mode is of the  
form

/bin/sh: line 1: 93331 Illegal instruction     MPFR_QUIET=1 ${dir}$tst
FAIL: tset_f
