The problem with two lower case letters is that they may lie next
to each other on a US keyboard, but not necessarily on keyboards
of other languages. Lower and upper case do probably always lie on
the same key (except maybe Chinese kb). We have that problem already
with < and > now, just the other way around. And it's far easier to
remember that g is for "gear up" and G for "gear down" etc. than
to use two completely unrelated keys.
