Currently I am testing it...

Even in the standard installation (replaced v3 with v4) it is faster
with TCP traffic (on a 100MBit Network I have gotten permanently
7,5 to 8 MB/Sec and not it is over 9 MB/sec constant)

Since I have no real experience with krb5 and ACL it is heavy to
learn it but now I see NFS realy usefull...

For those which do not know:

I mount /home over NFS for all 17 Workstations parallel.  But even
under vers=3 I had never problems the last 4 years...  It depends
heavily on the mountoptions.

I use:  rw,bg,hard,intr,tcp,vers=4,rsize=8192,wsize=8192
