Today, I hang my head in shame as we have proved to the rest of India that we are as intolerant as the RSS and that we are as capable of stoking religious sentiment for political gain as the BJP. I am truly ashamed of being a Goan. I am ashamed of belonging to that last bastion of the Congress stronghold known as Salcette, Goa and most of all I am ashamed of being known as a Catholic.
