>Dear Father,

I think you misread "Father". :-) Sorry; I'm just a layman with children. It's
a joke that makes sense to people I know; I should have fixed that.

Okay, but now lualatex fails on compilation with the following

luaotfload | db : Reload initiated; reason: "unresolved font name: 'greciliae'"
luaotfload | db : Font index saved
! Font \gregoriofont=name:greciliae at 25.9399pt not loadable: metric data not f
ound or bad.
<to be read again>
\relax
l.4 \begingregorioscore
                     %
?

This doesn't surprise me; I encountered this error when I installed the
publicly available version, which is why I downloaded the git version.
According to 'locate', the only other place that file exists is in the source
code directory. According to 'kpsewhere', it no longer exists. Isn't there some
kind of a map file that tells LaTeX which glyphs in the ttf map to which codes
in the file? I've messed with such files before, but for the life of me I can't
remember offhand where to find it.

I will try the tarball you mentioned, and see what happens.
