hey all!
after having followed a lot of smoking./non smoking discussions, i'd like to ask exactly when and where (if decided) is the LUG meet gonna be held? and, thanx for the pretty set of guidelines for the newcomers :)
Also, i was trying to use framebuffer for X in a mediagx machine, and after having made tons of manual configs in xf86config and lilo.conf and having run Xconfigurator AND after having installed the XF86FBDev, i still get an error saying "creens should be given for the fbdev driver" everytme i startx. I know FB works, coz the PCQ linux install graphics version does run if in FB -the nofb option makes it fall back to the text only version. After having done all this, when i boot, the tux icon does come up during loadup but ... :(
Any help will be appreciated. Thanks in advance!
