Chris,
with 0.3.3e I have good picture on all three inputs of my PVR-150.
This is an improvement compared to 0.3.3b, where the image was blurred (it seemed the two half images were not interleaved correctly)
Audio for 0.3.3e is different: input | quality ----------+-------- tuner | good composite | distorted s-video | missing
with 0.3.3b s-video audio is there, but distorted
with 0.3.2p video and audio are good on all inputs, but there is no VBI at all.
Since you added support for VBI on the PVR-150, I try to use it with mtt, using the debain sarge version of libzvbi (0.2.9)
The system load significantly dropped due to the switch from polling to DMA. Great!
Otoh I get corrupted teletext data as in the attached picture (for all ivtv versions with VBI support for the PVR-150). What is supposed to be the index page is actally a mix of different pages and garbage...
I have no clue on how to help debugging this.
my card: tveeprom: Hauppauge: model = 26034, rev = C197, serial# = 7702916 tveeprom: tuner = LG PAL (TAPE Series) (idx = 97, type = 55) tveeprom: tuner fmt = PAL(B/G) PAL(D/K) (eeprom = 0x44, v4l2 = 0x00000e07) tveeprom: audio_processor = MSP3400C (type = 4)
pal=G
Thanks a lot for providing/maintaining the PVR driver. Please tell me if I can be of assistance.

I became aware of a problem in the cx25840 digitizer which we had
hit since changing the code from Ulfs original setup, where we would
reset the registers upon starting a capture. It seems if we don't
do this just right, then the chip doesn't setup itself to a good state for things like the proc-amp and possibly other settings. I had
to figure out the best way to keep from losing other settings we manually
set but still give it this reset. So this attempts that, seems like it
should work, please test this if you've had problems with pvr150/500 cards
since the version 0.3.2u or so, and also if you are currently doing fine
with these cards, so we can make sure this is a good overall global solution
for everyone (and really the right thing to do). Video proc-amp settings
would be dark and red without these changes, and this could also be why
some don't have sound anymore and various other things (like no capture).
