I agree, it seems to be using and old version of tveeprom. > tveeprom: tuner = <unknown> (idx = 97, type = 0) It's not detecting the tuner correctly for starters > tveeprom: tuner fmt = PAL(D/K) (eeprom = 0x44, v4l2 = 0x00000e07) And this must be an old version, as newer version of tveeprom report all versions of PAL they support, not just the first version they hit. Try: find /lib/modules/`uname -r`/ -name tveeprom.ko And see what you get. Do the same for tuner.ko, msp3400.ko, and tda8775.ko as well. Remove the older versions of these files, and rerun depmod -a.
