Hi! Here some results. Hope it helps....
disabled automatic start of backend & X (i normally use the TVOUT of the
350). Only ivtv gets loaded without any module options.
installed 0.3.7f --> reboot --> dmesg has no errors
dd if=/dev/video0 of=test0.3.7f_nomyth.mpg bs=1024k count=48 --> good
video, no errors in dmesg
/etc/init.d/mythbackend start
dd if=/dev/video0 of=test0.3.7f_nomyth.mpg bs=1024k count=48 --> good
video, errors complaining about setting invalid values for contrast etc.
in dmesg.
So this seems to be a mythtv-issue... hmm... I use the 0.18.1 ebuild
coming through gentoos portage
I'll test 0.3.7g when i come home... atm doing all this down/uploading
over ssh/scp is not reliable at work....
But what looks weird to me:
0.3.8 has a completely messed-up picture. No chance to change anything
in mythtv....
To me this seems to be a totally different problem... But I will
continue testing...
