I did some more research: I checked the diff between 0.3.7k and 0.3.8 and
there is nothing that could cause the sort of corruption you see. So I still
think that it is related to the hue, contrast, etc. problems that you see.
Please try the following with ivtv-0.3.8:
Reboot your computer. Make sure that MythTV isn't started automatically if you
had it configured that way. Once it's booted run ivtvctl -Y. Please report
the results. Can you also provide the dmesg output (between the START/END
IVTV lines)? Now start MythTV, tune to a channel and exit MythTV again. Run
ivtvctl -Y a second time and report the result. Finally check if the mpeg
output is still wrong.
