It sounds like this is a problem with whatever you downloaded rather than with your unzipping/extracting. Seems like perhaps you got something you weren't expecting.

I am in need of finding a tutorial on zipping and unzipping files. I did manage to unzip it with some help but the files inside are numbered rather than titled-a big problem and when I click on one of the numbers it seems to go to the internet rather than opening as a text document. Too much for this old fellow but I'll keep plugging away. Time to zip it. This is usually something a programme tries to set when you install it, and there is probably a way to do this directly from Windows as well (I can look into it later if you want). If you already had winrar set to do this though, or installed winrar afterwards, that will probably be in your context menus rather than 7zip. BTW the Winrar trial message can be safely ignored. The programme still works fine. Although it's a very good programme and I'm not necessarily averse to paying the $20, I can understand why you might not want to. The shell option to extract with the programme should still be there in your context menus though. If not however, 7zip will work, as others are saying. -----Original Message----- From: JAWS-Users-List [mailto:jaws-users-list-boun...@jaws-users.com] On Behalf Of wayne smith Sent: Wednesday, June 21, 2017 11:49 AM To: jaws-users-list@jaws-users.com Subject: Re: [JAWS-Users] Unzipping files I tried right clicking and there were many options but extract files was not one of them. I got a notice that my trial period for Winrar had expired and that they wanted $20 to get it back. I have 7Zip but I don't know if that can work with a folder full of files sent with Winrar. I need more extencive help than just click.
