Hi, I have a Fujitsu p2120 (Crusoe, NEC USB 2.0 interface), and I've been experiencing kernel hardlocks when I try to insert any USB device (tried a USB mouse and a USB pendrive). System is totally unresponsive after that where ALT-SysQ won't respond.
When warmbooted after using WinXP, the USB device registers as normal and can be accessed. Enclosed are two logs (excerpted from /var/log/messages), one coldbooted into 2.4.22-pre2, the other warmbooted from WinXP. There are no log entries present after the USB device insertion in the coldboot scenario. This is tested using kernel 2.4.22-pre2 + swsusp-pre16 + lm_sensors. CONFIG_RTC=n, though I don't think that makes any difference. Any pointers/suggestions/new patches to try? Thank you so much. T.C. ---- Wan Tat Chee (Lecturer) School of Computer Science, Univ.
