It is not my role as a code reviewer to go and make the changes -- nor do
I think it is appropriate. Several people -- and Roland in particular --
explicitly asked me to review the Makefiles, and I am doing that.
Further, I am doing it in my own personal time, which -- contrary to your
assertions -- is actually quite limited. It is *because* I believe ksh93
*is* important that I am spending Friday evening working on it. Frankly,
it's quite distressing to realize that my efforts are instead viewed as
"obstructionist".
OK. I had a phone call from jbeck and we had a very productive
discussion and he was able to "defuse" my frustrations while still
taking note of my point of view.
So I'm ready to drop this thread - with sincere thanks to everyone who
took the time to discuss it.
PS. I'd really rather not consume more time on this thread.
