Dear O-List,

a few weeks ago I asked for your input on why origami became so much
more popular in the 1980's.

I got a lot of insight from your input and here is now the paper I wrote
on the topic:

http://tavinsorigami.com/diffusion-of-origami/

I base the claim that the popularity of "Origami" took a significant
leap 1980, from the amount of publications that use "Origami" in the
title in Germany and the relative amount occurrences of the term in
written English. I'd wish I had membership statistics of origami USA and
actual sales of origami related books to back this up further.

I'd love to hear what you think.

all the best,

Wolf aka Tavin
