I too am having a similar problem with newly added Hobby Boards 8 
Channel relay board of the new design with 2408 chip.  After a period of 
time it becomes not found,

"The 1-wire web server is carefully constrained for security and 
stability. Your requested device is not recognized."

 and I need to re-read it several times with owhttpd to make it 
available.  All other devices are retained.  When the 2408 disappears it 
is no longer available to php or perl.  Any suggestions? Also how can I 
tell which version of owfs I am using, especially load_php_OW.php?
