The situation is improved in owfs 2.7p14 but still occurs regularly.  
After a period of time owhttpd can no longer communicate with the DS2408 
and gives the security warning.  If I click on the link it takes me back 
to the directory listing and the DS2408 is usually listed, but not 
always.  Then if I reload the page it re-appears and is useable.  This 
is much better than the previous versions.  Also when I use php to read 
the device I haven't gotten a single not found yet.  Writes seem to 
always work. There isn't any correlation of problems that I see  between 
reads and writes from the user side.  Could it be when owfs updates the 
cache? Thanks
