I've uploaded
http://www.apache.org/~stas/DocSet-0.14.tar.gz
which is probably the one that will go to CPAN soon. Please use this one
when you play with it.

no, but it's easy to extend it to do so. It currently does things that I
needed for perl.apache.org. It's fully subclass-able, but other things
won't be implemented until somebody needs them. So feel free to extend it.

You've the parsing and rendering stages, which are fully customisable.
So it's up to you how do you want to extract data.

It's a pity that a lot of effort is wasted because everybody tries to
develop from scratch. I realize that my vision doesn't fit everybody
else's visiion, that's why I'm trying to build a flexible framework. I
wish that there would be a more joint effort and more things will get
re-used.
