What's the minimum focus distance on the Tokina? That's where some of the less expensive primes and zooms fall short. The A400/5.6 focuses at 2.8 metres. You'll need close focus ability for birds.

Very good quality, truth be to tell. One just went on eBay for less than US$40.00
